I

Former Inmate

I was in a single cell and that meant fewer fights. The single cells are very hot in the summer and the more violent offenders control the fans - as well as the T.V. I was at Marion from 2007 to 2009. While I was there an inmate by the name of Dino Gilly killed himself by hanging. Many of us tried to get psychology to help him but we were shunned away. Dino needed more help than Marion could provide him. He had transferred from Medical Center Springfield where he got help. At Marion he yelled at the voices in his head, much about racial issues. I wish I knew how to change things. The director of psycology should be sued for the death of Dino Gilly.
