I

Former Inmate

I was at mt pleasant correctional when it still housed women it was a decent enough faculty with helpful staff. the medical team left something of a bad taste on your mouth. Cold and incapable of finding empathy or compassion for anyone. The correctional officers very friendly overly at times with the inmates the women's section was housed with the rehabilitation treatment center it had two floors which housed 48 inmates on each floor and that was it. It was a clean facility I know I scrubbed it on my hands and knees myself the grounds were pretty and it was very open which kind of made it worse taunting you almost it seemed at times. The visitation hours sucked it was like two days a week or something and it was a really tiny visiting room for the women and to get any kind of services dental medical vision he had to go to the men's facility which was mostly composed of pedophiles and rapists so you know men locked up most of them for extended times seeing women even if they are in jumpsuits it wasn't very comfortable experience that's for sure all in all I'd give it a two-star rating for a prison lol
