I am very disappointed in their lack of officers to properly provide the inmates with services that should normally be operative M-F. Having no available property officer to date and until Tuesday of next week is just plain unacceptable. If their is an officer to distribute whites to an inmate that very same officer should be able to distribute the property of an inmate transferred to their facility from another in NM. These inmates should not have to go one day with out the conveniences they had to wait so long to get and couldn't in RDC. It is thru no fault of their own that this type of service can't be provided them but the fault of the prison and it's staff to assure the ordinary care of an inmate who requires these services be provided them. There is no reason to justify their actions while making an unpleasant experience for the new intake. Then they wonder why attitudes and behaviors change. If they kept the operation of their facility at a smooth and steady pace they would have less of these types of things to deal with. This is the fault of the facility and it's staff not the inmate and therefore punishment should be directed accordingly.
