I

Former Inmate

The food is beyond sub par. The guards talk down to inmates, harass inmates, intimidate inmates, take commissary if they don't have receipts or if the receipt is more than two weeks old. I witnessed guards cussing out inmates, threatening violence against inmates, soliciting inmates to harm other inmates, forced inmates to do squats, push ups, etc as a form of entertainment for themselves and other inmates. They regularly strip search inmates who have done nothing wrong. They recently installed a new intercom system that the guards use all hours of the day and night for psychological warfare and harassment. They also use it to announce the names of inmates leaving the following day in hopes that other inmates will assault them and/or steal their belongings. I have seen the guards ignore inmates requiring medical assistance as well as refuse inmates to go to the infirmary for medical care instead telling them to send a kite which at times takes multiple days for the sub par medical staff to respond to. The dental services are horrible. I know of multiple inmates who had the wrong teeth pulled by the dental staff. I have never been treated so poorly in my entire life at any other correctional facility. I don't know how they get away with the level of treatment they provide. It is truly sad.

Because of the Pandemic, all programs have been stopped. They're not allowed to go to the library, gym, or participate in any meetings, etc. They are all just stagnating. There is no visitation, either, so morale is really, really low.

Wondering why inmates are getting away with having sex with guards. Some one in Southeastern correctional Lancaster has had 5 affairs with guards. Told me over phone. This inmate is a rapist also.
