Idk where to start. My boyfriend has been at this facility for almost 6 years now. The racism, Unfair treatment, Favoritism, Drugs that easily get in, its truly mind blowing but WORST of all, let's talk about the rats, massive bug invasions, or how they have zero air condition yet have little fans you HAVE to purchase to be able to even breathe slightly normal on a hot hot hot day, just for the fans to blow around hot air. Women are completely sexualized when it comes to visitation dress codes, can't show your shoulders, can't have a hole in your pants, blah blah blah 1800's sexist BS. I wish I had the time to write everything out. The big one for me is how nobody cares about the inside of that place and I don't think it's been updated once since they opened it in the 1800's. It's heartbreaking to hear the way they scream at inmates on the phone when it's on guards time, not by the phone list. This prison is a mess and whoever is in charge has no empathy for human beings. The child predators deserve less than what this prison offers however, The others don't. Every officer in there better realize they're one bad choice away from ending up right next to the same inmates they degrade and bully. It doesn't take much in a Commonwealth State. I may come back with more info from the inside, but for now.. Know that this place needs to let its pride and reputation go and instead of bragging about how this is the "Longest standing state correctional institution In Pennsylvania" Maybe give them clean water, some cool air, mass amounts of drug tests like once a week randomly, everyone.. so then maybe you can start bragging about what actually matters like for example (just spit balling here) "Most successful turnaround of inmate behaviors in the state of Pennsylvania" ya know? The reason prison is supposed to exist to begin with. When did it become about dick size and power tripping? Who power trips on men who are already down? Insecure, Lonely, Miserable bullies with awful parents.
