My aunt is at Pulaski State Prison. She has been incarcerated for two yrs now and has experienced so much hardship from her health to her privileges. I have Notarized court document saying I’m her POA and they won’t approve me to send her money bc I was incarcerated 15 years ago. They’ve approved me the last time she was in there without even having documents. So she has had to do without bc they don’t even care to look into anything. Also she has stayed sick the past 2 yrs and several months ago had seizures and it took hours before anyone would acknowledge it. They over ignored her until the whole dorm started raising ruckus. She pooped on herself during a seizure and they made her wear it for 2 days when took her to the hospital in Habersham then walk all the way across campus in cuffs BAREFOOT in the rain during cold temps! This was right before they shut her previous location down at Alto Prison because it was so unhealthy. They were barely given cleaning supplies. Had to wade in nasty standing water to use kiosks. She barely was getting to see a Dr. or counselor after they also found a large mass several months ago and still they are not telling her anything. She’s witnessed girls busting out windows with fire hoses and getting out into the prison, several girls going to ICU for multiple reasons. I can never get a reply from anyone I try to reach and don’t know what else to do. I am the only one she has that is trying to be there for her and my hands are tied. It’s all caused me to go into depression and stress myself bc I’m afraid I may never speak to or see my aunt again. She’s all I have, she was like my mom.
