I

Former Inmate

Over all I did 10 years at this facility and was recently released I have seen this prison Change dramaticly over the years ellsworth never has had a security problem for the most part its alway had a good old boy system used to be worse but still bad there are a few good guards there that treat you like people but they get fired very fast the upper echelon is very domineering to the staff and forces them to harass the inmates which is why the turnover Rate is so high there no one wants to work for an asshloe right but overall I learned alot there gained skills for my future through college and mental health courses and a inmate ran mentor program but overall ellsworth never allowed me to easily get into them I had to work very hard to get into them most were voluntary courses and groups overall ellsworth has a very wrong way at looking at people as if they r benighted them and a very big amount of corupt workers from the major all the way to the staff and unit teams and if your not in a certain circle then they will get rid of you other than that the inmates for the most part are trying to better themselves and those around them and trying to avoid a corrupt CO ALL Day so they can see there families
