My fiancé has been in Alcorn County Regional Correctional Facility. Breaks my heart that even though he and others have done wrong and that’s why they are locked up but nobody deserves to be treated like animals. They have a heart and are human just like us. Everyone makes mistakes they are the ones that got caught doing wrong. Nobody is perfect and we all learn the hard way sometimes. What makes me upset is they get dinner at 3:30 or 4:00 pm which means they go until breakfast the next day with nothing. And dinner last night was a small piece of rubbery meat one lump of potatoes and 4 green beans. So sad. They are treated like animals and my child eats more than that and they are grown men. And nothing to drink but the small container of juice or milk that comes on their tray. The lawyers don’t do what they should be doing like delivering the discovery when requested or communicating court dates with inmates and what got me is the lawyers offering a plea deal when they haven’t even researched the case. That’s what is wrong with this world today. No counseling , no rehab, no resources for when they are released, so that’s what I’m working on. NO FRESH AIR or SUNLIGHT. Locked up in the cell 24/7 unless their lawyer decides to take them to their court date which is rare. Crooked system in Ms. Only 3 employees that have gone over and beyond that care are MRS BETTY, SGT MILLER and CRYSTAL whom Is the circuit court clerk. She has been a God send.
