I get the fact that this is supposed to be punishment, and isn't supposed to be like the Hamptons Inn but $50 every two weeks for an inmate to order food? Come on that's a bit harsh. Some people are brought up with a much bigger appetite and require a bit more than the sad portions that's handed out from the kitchen. I say if they have the money, let them eat. Stop letting authority get to your heads and be level headed. The guards should be more respectful to the inmates as well, just because they have the upper hand, and the clean background that these inmates sadly do not have, does not mean they are any better, nor are they in any position to treat another human being with such filthy behavior. These inmates are humans, just as you, and I. The authority is getting to the heads of some of the guards, and it should be addressed. These are still someone's loved ones, they are still someone's child, father, mother, brother, uncle, etc. They broke the law, believe me we all are aware of why they are where they are, we don't need them to be shamed anymore than what they are already. Some of the things I have seen over the short time my loved one has been here is just mind boggling and it's truly a sad situation to witness and feel as if your helpless in the problem, my heart aches for these young men. Be kind, be a better person, set a better example. Walking around with your nose up high and treating others inhumane is not going to save you in the end. God bless, and I hope that this message reaches whoever and the whoever resolves this before it becomes any worse.
