My son is in Chippewa 'Correctional' has been for over 3 years, to be honest, hes been in a few correctional facilitys, in which I would give every one of them a ten star rating compared to URF. I hear first hand of the actual things they do to the inmates there. It is deplorable. This is just one actual clip of a jpay from our son when he was trying to get some help for a situation: "I tried to explain to the LARA Hearings officer O'Brien the situation. She kept cutting me off while I was talking, she treated me like I was some caged animal at a pound, didn't let me explain at all, and told me I was lying and found me guilty of the D.D.O. ticket." So needless to say, if family calls up there, first words they say to you is "your sons a trouble maker because he files grievances". So yeah, if you want him to have a giant target on his back, you can keep beating you head up against that brick wall... or do as they want and just shut up and let your only son fall into such a dark place of despair, in which you are right along beside him due to the inhuman way they are treated there. He is in for a non violent property crime, 10 years! Seriously, I know all about prison injustice in the state of Michigan, where there is no "good time credits". My husband served 4 years in the Marines, 30 years in GM, I am now legally blind due to the stress of this states ideal of 'correction'. We are good people, but this facility, has sucked the life out of us all. And we are not the only ones, currently my son is going through the same thing as a man in this article I just came across... https://www.freep.com/story/news/local/michigan/2020/02/11/chippewa-correctional-facility-michigan-prisoner-edward-walton/4721477002 Chippewa Correctional way of solving anything is to throw them in the hole, without even listening to the facts.
