I

Former Inmate

One thing I learned at OCC while working on a modot crew . . . they used shindaiwa c-270 trimmers with the brush cutter bars. The "dude in charge of our crew said they seemed to be the most dependable, longest lasting units they had tried. Long story short i purchased one when i left occ for use around the house and dads farm. That was in may of 2000 and im still using it today, 22 years later. They were indeed a high quality product, starts usually 2nd crank every time, (if not the 1st) and have only had to install new primer bulb and fuel lines in 22 years. I was the one that came up with the gray squirrel song during my stay at occ. Every day there was psychological torture and agony, in retrospect i see why, one does NOT want to go back there for a second "tour" for sure. And it has been years now since i went into a bar as Mr. Howell. And left as Gilligan. 👍

My husband is currently an inmate and today I get a call with him informing me that the prison allowed a group of men come in to search that broke my husband's wings personal belongings such as tvs, fans, anything breakable during a search. While my husband was on the phone with me I hear an officer yelling that he told them to sit the f*** down and followed by screams and coughing. My husband and I had been on the phone for about 5 minutes or so when this has happened and apparently this group had maced everybody including my husband. When he finally got back to the phone he told me they had been maced I had asked him if he was ok and he said he couldn't breath and the phone then hung up. I called up there to find out what was going on and I left a message for numerous people that I was transferred to and not a single phone call did I receive from any of them. My husband was in there for a drug treatment program and since he has been there gen pop has been brought there from other prisons and the treatment classes have been cancelled every day. My husband and other treatment inmates have been locked down so these other prisoners went out in the yard and in no better choice of words taken over the whole place while the inmates that were there to get help bc a judge sent them there are getting things ripped away from them and downright being treated in the worst possible way by these people. No wonder why people don't want to go to ang place that even suggests they could help when places like this encourage this kind of behavior and treat their inmates like shit.
