How are inmates suppose to keep in contact with family if they are only out 1 hr a day and get one 8 minute call a day? If they get to even use the phone. The kiosks are constantly broke or being worked on so emailing isn't a solution, plus it takes weeks to get emails sent to inmate and back sending letters takes even longer to get through or sent out to families. Tablets arent delivered like they say. Its hard to keep communication to an inmate if you have one locked up. Just because they got punished for their mistake doesn't mean to make things more harder for them and families. We all make mistakes we all have messed up some just were lucky they didnt get caught otherwise everyone would be an inmate at some time.
