I

Former Inmate

I was there in 1971. It was insanity!! When it was dry (pot) in Dallas people used to come to seagoville to score. joints were $2 each or 3 for $5. The stock tank, which we called "the lake" had a rope hanging from a tree and we would stand in line to jump into the "lake" when it was really hot. I worked on the landscape detail, the only detail that went outside the fence on a daily basis. There was no closable gate. My boss, Mr Stroud, drove in and out without being searched. We would put pounds of pot under his seat and retrieve it once he got back to the barn. Man, what a way to do time.

Family Member

My husband is an inmate at Seagoville Federal Correctional Facility its bad enough that he has to suffer through the summer months with the extreme heat but now they are deliberately not turning on the heat when it is 30 degrees outside. I do not understand why this is allowed to happen. I need to know who I can contact in Washington or directly at the prison to get answer. Thank you
