My son has been at this facility for sometime. These guards use their personal hunting knives to destroy any and all packages, opening canned goods up and dumping them all in one baggie, coffee and drink mixes all cut open and put in one baggie, so much more. Inmate makes a formal complaint to Albany DOCCS and the Sargent (Donner)feels the need to retaliate and give out bogus tickets for a dirty cube (towel hanging on a locker to dry), now phone calls are being cut short because the inmate made a formal complaint. Treatment of visitors is disgusting, they can't and wont' answer a question. This facility has a yard where visitors/inmate can go out, but because guards don't want to, we all suffer. I had to ask a lieutenant why the yard was closed, he said it wasn't, the guards took a serious attitude because I asked the lieutenant, when I asked the guard his reply was "what do you think this is a party" no outside. These guards focus more on intimidating inmates and visitors, then doing their dam job. At this time I am ready to contact NY State Troopers and have a sargant and multiple guards investigated. I already know the guards, and the Sargent will lie and blame the inmates because you all stick and lie for each other, its disgusting. My son was approved for temporary release into a work program along with several other inmates, all of which have been sent home, or to another facility, yet my son is still here, WHY? When you treat people like this, what should a you all expect? This needs to stop it's disgusting, inhumane. I plan on writing a book about corrections officers and how they are trained to provide corporal punishment vs safety, demean people because someone made a mistake, tell people they are not worthy as a human and deserve what they get. Again, disgusting!
