My husband said the food is not good and they don’t provide enough food and it’s leaving him starving.

I gave 1 star on inmate safety not from other inmates but from the guards. My son was assaulted by a guard while in the infirmary for medical needs. He threatened to sue him and then to protect himself he said my son hit him which was a blatant lie to protect himself. Of course my son was wrong because he was told even if right you’re always wrong. He was put in lock key and was kept handcuffed in a cell for 2 days and was not given food. An officer told him if you try to commit suicide we’ll gladly give you a sheet to hang yourself. Totally unacceptable. Luckily he is no longer in lock key in MidState. He was transferred to Marcy lock key where he can now live without fear of retribution. All high stars I gave is for Marcy. None of these categories were offered in MidState while in lock key. I do have to say all who I spoke to in MidState were very kind and gave me time to speak on behalf of my son. From head of mental health, his ORC and even the people who answered the phone. If I didn’t leave any stars it’s because it’s N/A at this time.
