My husband is currently incarcerated at this facility and after a visit was being harassed by CO’s because I went to visit him, apparently they were not pleased to know that he is married to a white woman. After harassing him relentlessly for a few days they decided to claim he was having a mental health issue and extracted him from his cell. 10 to 15 officers to extract one inmate weighing 150 pounds. They then proceed to take him to the medical department and behind closed doors five of the officers, two including sergeants beat him while handcuffed to a gurney and in leg chains. Placed on suicide watch for one day, denied any food and then deemed him fine after a day of supposed suicide watch and thrown in the SHU. This apparently is an every day occurrence when CO’s Feel the need to take a power trip. Also the nurse Mrs Kristen sallotti who is known to help cover these incidents by helping them write the incident reports to work in their favor and cover up their abuse. God bless your family member if they are incarcerated here, unfortunately no one cares and not one person can give you any information because it’s a brotherhood and they protect their own. One thing is the inmates do help each other out because they are all being abused and many of them actually reached out to me on my husband’s behalf to let me know what was occurring and to inform me that he was being targeted by the CO’s on staff.

This place is horrible in my opinion and experience in visiting. My loved one is treated like crap and in return acts according to the way they treat him. COs have made threats against him, destroyed his property, used excessive force. People have a misconception that just because someone is incarcerated that, that gives them the right to treat them like trash. There are plenty of people in prison for self defense, minor Marijuana possesion or innocent. So they definitely need to teach the officers some different ways to handle situations. Also the mental health unit is a joke as well as the counselors. They never return my calls and no one ever wants to talk about whats going on. I am my loved ones emergency contact and they have signed releases for me to be able to talk to them about things. Still NO responses. They are quick to tell you what the inmates supposedly do but NEVER want to discuss what the satff may have done as well!
