My experience with this facility is absolutely heartbreaking. It is really sad that the correction officers who are supposed to be there to protect you do the exact opposite and beat you for no reason at all just to abuse their power. It is really sad that human beings can treat other human beings so badly. My brother is a severe diabetic and has been in the prison system for 15 years with his life depending on the nurses and staff to take care of him. As a nurse myself it is appalling to hear some of the things that the nurses tell my brother for example I'm just not going to give you any insulin today. My brother has a history a very long history of having very low blood sugars and when that happens he does not know most of the time that it is coming and acts very erratically and usually has a seizure at least twice a week but instead of knowing that's what could possibly be making him act out and addressing the sugar issue they just pepper spray him and beat him and throw him in a cell. I honestly think he has more than nine lives. He only has nine months left out of his 15-year sentence I pray to God he can make it out to us. I don't believe I have ever heard a good thing about this prison. It just sucks to know again that the nurses and correctional officers who I thought were supposed to protect you in a way I will treat you so badly and try to refuse insulin to an insulin-dependent diabetic. And it is also sad that there is more drugs and crime inside the prison than there is out here. I just pray to God my brother makes it out at this point between the staff and the gangs it's just really scary

there are stabbings here constantly. there are guards with over inflated egos that violate inmates rights treat, threat them like animals actually worse than that my husband was was laying in his cell on the concrete trying to cool off because there is no AC and the temperature is ridiculous and inhumane two guards doing count assumed he was on drugs pulled him from his cell and the went in and destroyed everything he had stomped all his food making sure non was salvageable his bowl cup. this is all the stuff that i struggle to provide for him had just sent and he spent a hundred dollars. two weeks prior two different guards pulled him out as well assuming he was on that fake weed they tool him him off to put him lock once there had him shower so could change out but when done took him back to his cell why because the piss test they gave him when he was pulled out came back clean. the other two co's destroyed all his stuff at least a value if $150 and just returned him to his cell. He was given no piss test had he it would have passed as well. they did however tell him that if did anything to get them in trouble they would come back take him around the corner punch themselves and have him catch a charge for assult on a leo. He asked me to contact the facility about the incident despite the threat on him so i did it was on a Friday. i was extremely upset about the situation of course i was told that they would talk to him and get back to me but would probably be Monday. that was a month ago and they did not talk to him nor get back to me. the septic system has backed up twice and it just left so the inmates were having to walk through feces and piss on the way to chow. after a couple days they had someone clean up all that was was they picked up the big pieces of feces but never did anything else no disinfectant or mop NOTHING. i have called to talk to his cl0assification officer thirty times never an answer and no way to leave a message. thet have him housed where people sentenced long term are you know the ones with life so if they kill someone it doesnt matter he has three years. he has had knives pulled on him several times and he has only been there a couple months he has seen two stabbed almost everyone has a shank so he is not safe at all not from the inmates or the guards. there is so much more but i think you get the drift. the place is awful and those that allow anyone to be treated in such a way are who should be behind those bars
