I

Former Inmate

I was a former inmate back in 2004 but I can say that the boss at the horse barn was a very professional and for the most part the guards were decent.i don't remember the man at the educational dept but he was amazing and made me a better person.i can say prison changed my life I did have one incedent afterwards put it was poor judgement of my peers but since have lived a pretty good life without corruption but hilltop really did change my life and I'm grateful...I wish I could help others like the self I once was...

I

Former Inmate

It was hard to get used to, but I ended up in the hilltop trustee unit. I was able to play softball outside the fence which was so much better then being inside the barbed wire fence. I was able to adjust to hilltop trustee camp quickly, you have a routine you follow and it was good food. Mr. Trustee was the kitchen officer, and that little man could cook. I easily got to know the guards and I was made to feel like I was just taking a break in life and the only suffering in prison is not holding your kids and being around my family.
