My son needed medical as he was bitten by a spider while asleep. They told him to get the spider that bit him (spider was long gone from his cell by then as it was 2 days later) they would not lance his finger, it was so swollen he could not close his hand and it had 3 puncture marks in it and was full of pus. I spoke with a Captain McIntyre and he was a bit rude and told me my son would see medical the next day. My son called the next day and said yet again he was denied medical, and they would not lance his finger and was told "f you and your mama boy" by another guard there in regards to his finger and lack of medical attention. Just because they are in prison does not give you the right to deny medical treatment! They are not animals, they are human beings, with human rights. I called and spoke with Ms. Gonzales in the wardens office to speak with the warden and file a complaint against Captain McIntyre on 9/6/22 and she assured me someone would call me back and not a single response. My son had to lance his own finger, and it needs to be cleaned and he needs medication to keep it from becoming infected. He is being denied medical care and I am out here with stage 3b kidney failure and congestive heart failure stressing myself to no end because they treat my son as if he does not even matter, yet if it one of their children, I am sure they would taked issue with this as well.
